What are headaches exactly, and what is the biological process that happens during a headache?

I had the worst headache I've ever had in my life a few days ago, and I was wondering what in the world causes headaches. This headache had everything, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound, and an ache that seemed to radiate from the very inside if my head. What causes it? What exactly is going on in my head when this happens?

1. To understand pain you need to understand what causes it. When pain comes, something causes it to come. So the cause is what you need to understand in order to get rid or avoid pains in the future.

Sounds to me like you had a strong disturbance of your mind in the form of resistance, anger, FEAR or some other negative emotions right before the pain came. If you had no error you would have no bad effect and would not seek to solve / understand it.

Sensitivity to light, smells, sounds, etc shows your senses were disturbed by your mind. Think about how an animals gets more sensitive when a predator approaches, the heightened sense of awareness helps the animal survive.

The Biological process involves neurotransmitter fluctuations, which means the chemicals or fluids which helps transmit your thoughts are altered. e.g. adrenaline during fear. Its important to keep in mind that the biological process is only a servant, therefore they are called neuro-TRANSMITTERS, they only transmit a higher command. The higher command comes from your thoughts and acts.

It is the way we act and think in life which causes us pain or pleasure. The pain is only an effect. Would you destroy a tree by cutting it's branches... or it's roots?

Headache is only sensations in your senses which are caused by a disturbance of the mind. Now comes the question, what was it that disturbed your mind?

Look at how you thought, acted, or reacted before the pain came.
This is the cause, in the act.
